Our donors: Allen Exploration CEO announces third $500K donation

The 2019 Allen Exploration Pro-Am Pairings Party may have felt like déjà vu for the company’s CEO.
It was there that Carl Allen announced a $500,000 donation to the Campaign for Children’s of Mississippi, something he’s done at the same Sanderson Farms Championship-related event twice before.
Allen, and his wife, Gigi, of Dallas, are close friends with Sanderson Farms CEO and board chairman Joe Sanderson, Jr. and his wife, Kathy, who chair the Campaign.
With this year’s donation, the Allens have donated $1.5 million to help complete the Children’s of Mississippi’s expansion.
“My wife and I are fully committed to the children in Mississippi and especially those at Batson Children’s Hospital through the Sanderson Farms Championship,” said Carl Allen. “We realize that you can’t effect change unless you effect it at the level of the children.”
